Vincent (Short-film) - Review

Vincent, directed by Tim Burton, is the dim story of a child who, in spite of being a young boy named Vincent Malloy, considers himself as Vincent Price. His deepest wants drive him to craziness. His existence is tormented. The condition through which he moves is a dark scene. His constant, obsessive thought is overwhelming. He wouldn’t enjoy the joys of an ‘ordinary’ life. His thoughts annoy his mother. Vincent Malloy thinks he’s experiencing the horrors in the life of Vincent Price.

I really enjoyed this film. I loved the way the short film indirectly talked about the horrors in Vincent Price’s life. It was animated well. The short film played with my moods. Its plot kept changing from horror to misery, and vice versa. The poetic narration literally brought goosebumps, and the best part is that it was narrated by Sir Vincent Price himself. This is a perfect example of poetic-horror literature. People interested in literature MUST watch this short film, to get inspiration.
